Will AC Milan win the title at the end of the season? The owner of the Cardinale has given his reason for believing so. I’m proud of the players, he says

Gerry Cardinale certainly wasn’t afraid of that at the start of the summer. In fact, he wanted to rebuild the club to his own liking and that led to some very serious moves. Many of them were not met with understanding by AC fans, because even today most of them bite hard.
The current AC owner has fired club legend Paolo Maldini, who was the technical director at AC. Along with him, former sporting director Ricky Massara also left, Cardinale subsequently handed over the position to “his horses”.
But that was far from all. The club’s management subsequently sold Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United, which was alarming for the fans. Especially as conditions at the club at the time were less than ideal.
Olivier Giroud, Mike Maignan and Rafael Leão were threatened with leaving. Eventually, however, everything calmed down, thanks to the fact that Cardinale fulfilled what the previous owners only promised – a successful mercato, i.e. transfer period.
Stefano Pioli now has a really wide squad and a solid representation in virtually every position. Even the American owner knows this now, and he is very complimentary about AC Milan’s current leading position in Serie A.
“The season is just beginning and the boys are continuing to consolidate and build the team,” Cardinale told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I am proud of their character and the courage they show on the pitch. This is how champions are born. Never underestimate the power of the heart,” he said, citing the reason why he thinks his team will win the Scudetto at the end of the season.
