Sadio Mané is leaving Liverpool, which will be a huge loss for Jürgen Klopp. It will be very difficult to replace a striker who has regularly delivered excellent performances and played in all three positions in attack.

Mané spent six seasons at Anfield Road. And almost all of them can be considered successful. The Senegalese winger has delivered consistently excellent performances and helped Liverpool to win the Premier League, the Champions League and two more finals.

However, nothing lasts forever and neither does Mané’s engagement at Liverpool, although it seemed foolish. The 30-year-old striker will not extend his contract, which expires in a year’s time and will most likely leave in the summer. Bayern Munich are the most speculated club, offering 30 million euros.

Mané reportedly wants to go for a new challenge, some reports also say that he is not satisfied with his position in the team. Although he is one of the main stars, it is not reflected in his salary at all and he is only the 13th highest paid player. Even Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Naby Keita, who are definitely not as important to the Reds, take more than Mané.

Bayern, on the other hand, will be looking for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, so it is Mané who could be the star of the team, something he doesn’t get much of with Mohamed Salah.

And how could Liverpool replace him? Liverpool have already prepared Diogo Jota and Luis Díaz in advance and they have acclimatised well in the red jersey.

Along with Roberto Firmino, Klopp thus has four good options in attack. But he probably won’t be satisfied with that and someone else will come to Anfield Road.

There is talk of Darwin Nuñez from Benfica Lisbon, for example. The 22-year-old Uruguayan has had the season of his life and the Portuguese outfit will be asking around €80 million for him.

There is also speculation in England about Anthony from Ajax. The skilful 22-year-old winger has attracted the attention of several leading European clubs.
