According to the English servers, it seems to be done! Jack Grealish will undergo a medical next week, after which he is expected to sign a new contract at Manchester City, who will then target the arrival of Harry Kane.

There has long been talk of interest from Manchester City, who were expected to complete the transfer of Grealish before the European Championships.

However, negotiations have dragged on and Aston Villa have already set a date by which either the transfer will be completed or the England midfielder will sign a new contract, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

This has prompted the Citizens to fast-track negotiations. This is because Aston Villa are reportedly demanding £100 million for Grealish, which the Manchester club logically tried to lower.

the 25-year-old Villains captain has so far played 96 games in the Premier League, in which he has enjoyed 15 goals and assisted on another 19. However, he has no experience of European cups yet, which he wishes to play regularly. That is one of the reasons why he has been pressuring the Aston Villa management to allow him to leave.

Last season he played only 27 games in Aston Villa jersey, which was caused by a tibia injury. He then started 5 games at the Euros, always off the bench, and contributed two assists in the victories over the Czech Republic and Germany.

But Grealish is not Pep Guardiola’s only coveted player. The Spanish coach would like to bring in the Tottenham’s top striker to his team, who are trying their best to keep their gem.

However, Kane has already commented on his situation several times and it was clear from his words that he wants to play in a team that will win trophies, which Spurs are quite far from.

If indeed the captain of the English national team would strengthen the Citizens, we would count 8 players (minimum value of 42 million euros – Riyad Mahrez) who would fight for three places in the attacking trio, of course, if we also count the arrival of Grealish.

That’s too big a number even for Manchester City and therefore one could count on at least one player moving away. Judge for yourself:

Bernardo Silva – 70 million euros

Raheem Sterling – 90 million euros

Phil Foden – 80 million euros

Ferran Torres – 50 million euros

Riyad Mahrez – 42 million euros

Gabriel Jesus – 60 million euros

Let’s add Harry Kane (120 million euros) and Jack Grealish (65 million euros).

As mentioned above, keeping such a squad together is very difficult and it is rather widely expected that at least one footballer would leave in such a case.

According to The Athletic, a departure could involve one of the following four: Gabriel Jesus (20/21 season – 42 games), Raheem Sterling (20/21 season – 49 games), Bernardo Silva (20/21 season – 45 games) and Riyad Mahrez (20/21 season – 48 games).

Most of the talk is about Jesus, who is reportedly not living up to Guardiola’s expectations, and Mahrez, who is already 30 years old. However, who would leave after the possible signing of the two new reinforcements is perhaps only known by the Spanish coach himself.

Of course, we also have to take into account that at least Silva, Foden and Grealish could be used by Guardiola in the back three.

However, we can probably all agree that if both of the aforementioned players arrive at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City will once again be the big favourites to win all the trophies! And that’s even if any of the aforementioned six leave.
