No official transfer offers have been made yet, however, the clubs that are in contact with Pogba are known. They are the big giants of European football and also two Premier League teams.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are waiting to see if the 29-year-old will be offered a contract extension at Old Trafford. While Pogba has not ruled out staying at the club, the offer has not yet come.
The French national team midfielder has been heavily linked with PSG. The club would love to have a player who hails from the city to strengthen the French contingent. Kor though it is quite possible that Kylian Mbappé will leave the club after the end of the season.
Other suitors for the services of the United midfielder are Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus. A move to Juventus would be spicy in that it was from there that Pogba left for Manchester in 2016 for 105 million euros.
Interestingly, this would effectively make Juventus acquire Pogba twice for free from the same club. Indeed, back in 2012, they acquired him after his contract at Manchester expired after he was playing for their youth teams and had only just made his Premier League debut.
Pogba’s decision to stay at the club will also depend on who becomes United’s next manager. He has previously stated to the effect that the main thing for him is to win trophies and it doesn’t matter at which club.
