Slavia Prague lost 2:1 to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Conference League on Thursday. Especially in the first half, it was one of the worst performances of the Red-Whites this season. Although many of the players were below average, some of them were downright disappointing.

Ibrahim Traoré

The one who was supposed to hold the centre of the midfield together with Ševčík and Stancis, failed. He had big problems with the home team’s pressing, losing balls, losing duels. In the end, he played the whole game and was even the captain in the second half.

Nicolae Stanciu

The Slavic spitballer did not have his day. Just like Traoré, Stanciu couldn’t deal with the home team’s attacks. He brought almost no ideas to the offensive as Feyenoord didn’t let him into the game at all. At half-time he made a substitution.

Ubong Ekpai

Before the game, it might have seemed that Ekpai was exactly the right choice for the edge of midfield for this game. A quick, tensile, tireless player. But the home side covered him well, plus he was more fussed than played. He went down at half time too.

This list could go on and on. Aiham Ousou has shown promise for the future, but he is not yet up to the level the home side have shown.

Lukas Masopust was drowned out at left back, making mistakes, it was obvious that he was playing at that position for only the second time in his career. Stanislav Tecl did not have many balls, but Jan Kuchta was much more valid for the game of Slavia on the tip.
