Which Premier League club’s fans are most likely to leave the stadium before the end of the game?

Fans in the Premier League are often very impatient and especially so at Manchester United where they have been protesting against the Glazer family who own the club for many years. However, most top teams in England have a problem with fans leaving before the end of a match.

Betting exchange Betfair has come up with an interesting statistic of which teams have fans leaving the stadium before the referee blows the whistle to end the match.

In addition, since this season a new rule has come into force, which means that in many matches we see one half being set for 10 minutes or more. If this setup is in a similar vein to the opening games, we will probably see the stands thinned out even more often than usual.

In the Premier League, however, Red Devils fans are clearly leading the way in this regard. This is, of course, largely due to the aforementioned protests against the club’s owners.

However, fans of the other top clubs are also very negatively perceived, with the top 6 taking all the top 6 spots. Only Everton, who are in a similar position to city rivals Liverpool, are hacking it.

Perhaps for everyone afterwards, the sight of the Gunners fans fleeing when their chance of winning the league title was definitely gone will spring to mind.

Overall, then, it is noticeable that we find most of the London teams at the top of this ranking. This will of course be influenced by the fact that travelling around the English capital takes a large amount of time. Then when you’re shuffling through the crowds to get on the tube or bus, it’s sometimes an interminable wait.

However, praise must be given to Wolves, Newcastle, Aston Villa and other fans who are not in the habit of leaving the stadium before the referee has finished the game.

In England, the atmosphere in stadiums is generally criticised when compared to, for example, the Bundesliga, it is a diametric difference, but somewhere football is still a celebration that is honoured with all the right things.
