Only a small proportion of clubs in the Premier League can boast that they have never been relegated. It’s a point of pride for the fans and the club, which clubs are they?

Since the Premier League replaced the English First Division in 1992, only six clubs can boast that they have never been relegated from the top flight.

Specifically, these are Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Chelsea. These teams have been in the top flight continuously since 1992.

Another club that can be included in a similar column is Brighton. The latter has also never been relegated from the Premier League, but this is due to the fact that it has only been playing the top competition since the 2017-18 season.

Arsenal have the biggest history. The last time it was relegated was in the 1912-13 season, when it finished last under the name Woolwich Arsenal. In the 1919-20 season, the Gunners returned to the top flight and were never relegated again.

The second longest reigning club in the top flight is Everton. The Toffees were last relegated in the 1950-51 season, but 3 years later they were back up a tier and never relegated again.
