Summer is the best time of the year for football agents. Not because of the weather or the free work, on the contrary, they have plenty of it. But if they are successful, they are also rewarded handsomely.
And which agents have the most valuable portfolios? According to a ranking compiled by SportingPedia, Jonathan Barnett has the biggest empire with ICM Stellar Sports. He has 794 players in his stable, with Gareth Bale and Eduardo Camavinga among the biggest stars.
The total value of Barnett’s players is €1,510,000,000. The average value per player is €1,901,763.
In second place is probably the most famous agent in the world, Jorge Mendes. The biggest star of his company Gestifute is the icon Cristiano Ronaldo, then José Mourinho and the vast majority of the Portuguese national team, led by Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and João Cancelo.
Unlike Barnett, he specialises in fewer players, so he only has 137 footballers in his stable. Even so, they are worth €1,200,000,000, so the average value of a player is almost €9 million.
Third in the ranking is Italian Paolo Busardo with CAA Base. His stable amounts to 557 players worth 852,740,000 euros. The average value per player is thus 1.5 million euros.
