Where are the reinforcements? Manchester United fans are furious, but the management is still silent
The days are ticking away, the free players on the transfer market are dwindling and Manchester United’s squad is still unchanged. And Red Devils fans are running out of patience. When will management finally bring someone in?

Darwin Núñez to Liverpool, Erling Haaland to Manchester City. Both of Manchester United’s biggest rivals and the Premier League’s top two teams have yet to strengthen their already packed squads, but the Red Devils, who need strengthening (preferably a complete rebuild) the most of all, are still silent.
At least the first step has already come with the appointment of a new coach, Erik ten Hag from Ajax. Manchester City are thus constantly linked with possible reinforcements, but so far it is more media speculation.
The most frequent one is about Frenkie De Jong. He could meet his Ajax coach in Manchester, Barcelona are asking for around 80 million euros. The problem is that the Dutch midfielder wants to play in the Champions League, which the Old Trafford club cannot offer him at least for next year, as he will only play in the Europa League.
The team had a lot of problems last year, especially in defence. If we look away from the results, even the performances were pretty bad, even in the games won the Red Devils seemed like they didn’t really know what to play.
Historically the most successful English club will need reinforcements in every line. A reliable stopper, maybe a right-back, a defensive central midfielder and at least one striker.
Half of June is over, but it’s still quiet at Old Trafford. And the fans are rioting.
Supporters of other teams are already making fun of Manchester.
