When will Karolina Pliskova return to the tennis courts?

Karolina Pliskova is undoubtedly one of the best tennis players in recent times. This is evidenced by the fact that despite a two-month enforced break, she is ranked eighth in the WTA rankings. She is more than 1000 points ahead of ninth-ranked Muguruza.
The twenty-nine-year-old native of Louny has been the world number one in the past. Her main goal for the rest of her tennis career is clear – to win a Grand Slam tournament, which would make her emulate Petra Kvitova or Barbora Krejcikova.
Normally, she would have her first opportunity in 2022 in January in Australia. However, she did not travel there at all due to a fracture in her right hand in December. Ashleigh Barty took advantage of her absence and scored her debut triumph in front of her home crowd.
“I fell in the gym. I was doing push-ups and one went wrong and I fell on both hands. It’s lucky I only broke one. As I put my hands in front of me, they could have taken it both. I immediately heard a crunch in my wrist. I knew it wasbad,” Pliskova described the injury in a recent interview with iSport Premium.
However, everything is fine now and Pliskova plans to return to the courts in a week when the prestigious WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells starts.
The Czech national player would like to make up for the last year. Back then, as the number one seed, she was eliminated in the round of 16, where she lost to Haddad Maiova after 3:6 and 5:7. In the end, the trophy went to Badosa of Spain.
