What’s wrong with the Kansas City Chiefs?
Taylor Swift was watching live. So was Santa. The players of Kansas City Chiefs looked lost. Coach Andy Reid chewed out star Tight End Travis Kelce after he broke his own helmet through sheer frustration. Is it time to panic?
This is not a good look. The Head Coach and its 2nd best player locked horns and looked like they were about to have a fight on the sideline. Or maybe this was the lowest they can go?
After a strange 20-14 loss to hungry division rivals Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day, superbowl Champs Kansas City Chiefs appear to have lost their mojo. They were sloppy. Players look grumpy. Dropped catches. The star and face of the NFL Patrick Mahomes looked like he was about to lose his cool again. Something is off.
This could be the turning point for a Championship team. They need to get it together quick, as the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers look like the real favourites in this intense league.
An in-house team meeting is needed to calm everything down. Otherwise, we could start to see another dynasty breaking before our very eyes.
There is time to turn it all around. This is the NFL. However, it does feel like this is a team that needs reinforcements to make a challenge when it counts. The Wide Receiver depth is poor to say the least and the O-Line room has been shaky.
Surprisingly, the defence (once much-maligned) has been a shining light in a strange season filled with offensive mishaps and a feeling like something is missing.
Perhaps this is just one bad season. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end. Or perhaps, it’s over already. Or perhaps..this is a team who misses megastar Tyreek Hill. Real bad.
