- He impressed many fans with his unusually big trick
He’s been all over the place lately. At the Masters tournament in Cincinnati, he was the hero of perhaps the most controversial match point in tennis history.
At the US Open, he’s winning match after match and proving that he has a huge talent inside him. He didn’t even give the best Czech representative, Tomas Machac, a chance. He admitted after the match that he was outplayed by the Brit.
After another win against tournament top ten De Minaur, Draper is in the semi-finals and will challenge the highest seeded opponent. He will take on Sinner on Friday night.
He has also gained a lot of attention for his attire. Especially the gimmick, which at first glance is impressive for its size.
The British tennis player certainly can’t complain that his shirt is too tight. According to some fans , it is 2 to 3 sizes bigger than ideal.
The key to success
Draper is playing great so far. Of all the semifinalists, he has managed his wins in the shortest amount of time. And he’s done it with ease. The concrete at the US Open is clearly working for him so far. In his quarterfinal match against De Minaur, he racked up 40 winners in three sets.
But let’s get back to the 22-year-old Brit’s trick. According to some fans, his big shirt is the key to big wins.
In the semi-finals, the biggest of his career so far could come. And against Sinner it would not be the first, three years ago the Briton won the only duel between them on home soil at the Queens Club.
