Both Sparta and Slavia had to fight for their spring participation in the European Cups on Thursday. Pavel Vrba’s charges beat Brondby 2-0, while the players under Jindřich Trpišovský drew 1-1 with Union in Berlin.
However, there is not much time to look back, on the contrary. It is necessary to look forward. The draw for the first knockout round will take place on Monday 13 December.
Both Prague “S” already know the possible opponents they could face. Slavia should be more afraid of the draw, as they have a number of really good teams in their pool.
Sparta is threatened by Maccabi Tel Aviv, Partizan Belgrade, Bodo/Glimt, Randers, PAOK, Vitesse Arnhem, Tottenham and Karabakh.
Slavia could face teams like PSV Eindhoven, Leicester, Fenerbahce, Olympique Marseille, Midtjylland, Celtic or Rapid Vienna.
It is certain that Leten will play the first match at home, while Susians will play the return leg in Eden.
The European Conference League knockout matches are scheduled for 17 and 24 February.
