Slavia will play a rematch of the Conference playoffs against Fenerbahce, they won 3:2. What will be the line-up for the rematch?
Last week, Slavia played Fenerbahce in their “European” 3-5-2 formation. It was due to the absence of right backs, but the Sevivans often use this formation in cup matches.
What about the absences? Jindřich Trpišovský can already count on the sidelined Aleksander Bach, Ondřej Lingr is still recovering. On the other hand, it doesn’t look like Petr Ševčík will start, although it is not out of the question. The coaches are counting on the injured Tomas Holes, which could change the lineup quite significantly.
If he is available, Slavia may resort to a three-stopper formation again. If he is not available, Sšiovans would 100% go with a more traditional 4-2-3-1 formation.
Aleš Mandous will remain the number one in goal, while the Ousou-Kačaraba pairing will also remain unchanged. Bah returns to the right side, while Oscar has consolidated his place on the left. If Slavia play in the traditional formation, Traoré would probably start next to Holes and Plavsic in front of them. Olayinka and Schranz on the wings and probably Tecl at the top.
There is also a “Turkish” variant in the game, with the fast man Sor and Olayinka on the top. Trpišovský didn’t want to reveal whether he will start again, but according to his words it looks like not.
“Yira played very well in that game. He’s also an option for Thursday’s game, although I think it will be a bit different than the first game. There is a different variation of the formation at the opponent’s place in the game, so we will react to all this,” the Slavia coach said at the press conference.
If Slavia starts with four defenders, the line-up would probably look like this:
Mandous
Bah – Ousou – Kacharaba – Oscar
Holeš – Traoré
Schranz – Plavsic – Olayinka
Tecl
In a three-guard system, Holeš and Sor would be key.
Mandous
Ousou – Holes – Kacharaba
Bah – Traoré – Samek/Lingr – Plavsic – Oscar
Sor – Olayinka
