A surprisingly good King
When Alex Král replaced the injured Michal Sadilek in the 30th minute, social networks started to crackle with fans’ criticism of Jaroslav Šilhavy. But the hairy midfielder shut them up with his performance.
There was a freshness and, above all, a joy of playing football again. In the first half he flashed one really good pass, after the change of sides he worked well in defence and attack. He wasn’t afraid of offensive forays, he overshadowed Tomáš Souček on the full line.
Jemelka can be counted on
A week ago, Václav Jemelka came on for the second half of the game against the Portuguese, after a good performance he was trusted again this time and he certainly didn’t disappoint. On the contrary, he indicated to the coaching staff that he is capable of playing in a three-man defence.
On the left side of the defence, he stood out with his strength in personal duels, he didn’t lose his way in the air and on the ball. He could hardly do anything about the first goal, Marco Asensio in the situation confirmed why he plays for Real Madrid. It will be crucial for Olomouc to keep Jemelka after the end of Roman Hubnik.
The dynamic Cerny
Twente’s Václav Černý surprisingly made it into the starting lineup alongside Jakub Pesek and Jan Kuchta. For the speedy winger, the June nomination was a reward for his performances in the Dutch league, but he has been troubled by injuries recently.
Černý was not scared of the Spaniards on Sunday, on the contrary, he confirmed that he is one of the few Czech players who is not afraid of one-on-one battles. He deserves praise for his first-half shot and his pass to Kuchta for a great chance.
