What are the chances of Kvitova or Pliskova winning the Australian Open? Bookmakers don’t give them much chance
The Australian Open is slowly knocking on the door and we can start speculating about possible winners. For the Czech fans, the women’s singles will traditionally be particularly interesting, with several of our tennis players taking part. What are their chances of winning?
The first grand slam of the year will start on 8 February. Melbourne will host the 109th edition of the Australian Open, and the Czech Republic will again be well represented this year.
Among the men, Vesely and Machac will be featured, but they are unlikely to make a big dent in the world at this tournament. Among the women we will have eight players. What are their chances?
Ten tennis players have a better chance of winning the tournament than our two best representatives. Both Petra Kvitova and Karolina Pliskova have odds of 17.00.
Far behind them are Vondrousova (35.00), Muchova (40.00), Krejcikova (95.00), Strycova (100.00), Bouzkova (125.00), Kristýna Pliskova (150.00) and Katerina Siniakova (250.00).
Can any of our tennis players surprise and go for the Grand Slam title?
