Czech footballers playing for West Ham in London can look forward to a new Ukrainian teammate. According to some sources, the Hammers are said to have scouted Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Tomas Soucek immediately hit it off with Ukrainian striker Andriy Yarmolenko in the locker room since his arrival. Now the Czech enclave could be in line for another teammate representing Ukraine.
West Ham are eyeing Manchester City left back Oleksandr Zinchenko. He has not been getting as much playing space as he would like this season under Pep Guardiola.
According to the prestigious Transfermarkt, the current market value of the Ukrainian international is €25 million, which is a viable sum for the Hammers.
However, the reigning Premier League champion imagines a much higher price (reportedly up to €47 million). So it will depend on the player’s attitude and possible negotiations.
Another foreign group of players from “Eastern Europe” (from the English point of view) is unlikely to form at West Ham.
A source close to the club announced that Yarmolenko, whose contract expires in the summer, is very likely to leave. The same should not miss Vladimir Coufal’s competitor Ryan Fredericks.
