West Ham are now in pre-season training camp. During this time, they will of course play several friendlies, the first of which was against Dundee United, freshly promoted to the Scottish First Division.
The first half was not at all successful for the Hammers, both in terms of performance and results. Despite not fielding the strongest line-up, the half-time score of 0:2 was a disgrace.
The second half was played with a slightly changed team and it showed in the game. Jamal Baptiste reduced the arrears after a corner kick and Jarrod Bowen equalised from a penalty, which he won himself, to make it 2: 2.
The Football London website rated the players based on their performances. Bowen was named man of the match with a score of nine, while five players were awarded seven, namely Ben Johnson, Craig Dawson, Conor Coventry, Pierre Ekwah and goal scorer Baptiste.
Czech national players Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal did not take part in the match, they are on holiday. It is not yet known when they will join the team.
