West Ham vs. Norwich: Preview and betting tips
West Ham will play the final game of the eighteenth round of the Premier League at home to Norwich on Wednesday. Three points should be a must, will David Moyes’ charges make it through and jump into the Top 4?
West Ham will play the final game of the eighteenth round of the Premier League on Wednesday, at home to Norwich. Three points should be a must, can David Moyes’ charges make it and jump into the Top 4?
Although West Ham went through a December crisis, they have managed to win their last three matches through all competitions. They are fifth in the table, just one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, while on the other hand they have only a three-point cushion on seventh-placed Manchester United.
Norwich are the worst team in the league. It has only two wins and is last with ten points after nineteen games played. It has lost the last five rounds and is three points behind the relegation places.
Manuel Lanzini has been in good form, scoring four goals and assisting once in the league and adding another in the FA Cup at the weekend. Mikhail Antonio has been stuck in the scoring column, but still deserves praise for his 8+5 record.
The only multi-goal scorer for the visitors is Teemu Pukki, the Finnish striker has made five Premier League appearances. Norwegian midfielder Mathias Normann, the author of one goal and one assist, is also putting in an impressive performance.
Although West Ham are still at the top of the competition, they are scoring a lot of goals (27) compared to last year. Only Leicester have scored more times than the teams in the top half of the table.
Norwich are the worst in the league in many ways. It has scored the fewest goals (8), conceded the most (42) and even lost the most times (13).
Considering the dysfunctional away attack, I think West Ham will win and no more than four goals will be scored.
