Manchester City caught great form at the end of the season and won 6 times out of the last 7 games. Only the match at the Santiago Bernabéu failed, where they lost the chance to qualify for the Champions League final at the very end.
But apart from these few minutes, coach Pep Guardiola’s team is absolutely dominant and the Belgian midfielder shines the most, having provided all 4 goals for the Citizens in their last game.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are plagued by injuries with Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker and John Stones out of action. In addition, Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte also have problems. The starting line-up, especially defensively, is another big question mark.
David Moyes certainly doesn’t have such problems with the line-up, but he does with the results. In the last 6 games, West Ham have only managed to beat already written off Norwich.
If it wasn’t for these poor results, Tomas Soucek and co. could realistically think about finishing ahead of Manchester United, who hold 6th place.
That being said, Manchester City has been absolutely dominant of late and leaves nothing to chance. Moreover, they have been doing great against West Ham, winning 13 of their last 15 games.
However, it must be added that in the last 4 meetings between the two sides, Manchester City have only won twice and that was by a difference of one goal. They are not so far from such shootouts with a clear result in favor of the Citizens.
However, now the title is on the line and Pep Guardiola’s charges are playing in great comfort, so we can expect another goalscoring spectacle that will almost definitely seal their next trophy win. 22. then in May they will welcome Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium, where it will most likely be a formality and then the celebrations will start.
