In Sunday’s English Premier League match, West Ham United welcome Everton to the Olympic Stadium in London. Hammers coach David Moyes announced at the pre-match press conference that Jarrod Bowen and Vladimir Coufal will return to action in the coming days.

Bowen injured his heel in a game against Liverpool at Anfield in early March. Coufal underwent successful groin surgery in February.

“They both trained a bit during this international break. I’m not entirely sure if they are both really ready and fit again, but there is a chance they could face Everton,” Moyes confirmed with regard to Bowen and Coufal.

“We also have a busy schedule so we need to be aware of that and try to make sure we don’t overcook any of the players, but at the same time we need to win the next game and that’s against Everton.”

The Hammers will have at least 10 and possibly 13 games before the end of May as they continue their Europa League journey. Bowen is the team’s top scorer this season. He has scored 12 goals in all competitions.

Manuel Lanzini was in a car accident during the week. He hit a tree on his way to training and flipped the car on its roof. But he walked away from the accident and is perfectly fine.

Declan Rice

David Moyes has further commented on the fact that England international Declan Rice is still unsellable unless bidders pay at least 150 million euros for him.

“The first thing to say is that he is not for sale,” Moyes said. “If you are interested, it will be a lot more than in the summer when a hundred was cheap. A hundred and fifty would be the minimum now, but it’s not for sale. What I know is that it means there are only certain clubs that might consider it.”

Jesse Lingard

In contrast, the club have reportedly agreed a deal for Jesse Lingard. He has verbally agreed to a 3-year contract proposal. WHU have also agreed to pay an option of £11m for on-loan goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

Lingrad was already with the Hammers last season on loan from Manchester United. He returned there after the end of the season, but even this season he is not too happy with his playing load. French goalkeeper Areola is on loan from PSG.
