West Ham must pay Spartak Moscow the amount owed for Alex Kral’s guest appearance, according to FIFA
Alex Kral is currently playing for German side Schalke 04, but is still owned by Russian side Spartak Moscow. From there he was a guest at West Ham last season, who did not pay the agreed amount for him. But that is bound to change in the coming days.
Alex Kral is currently playing for German side Schalke 04, but is still owned by Russian side Spartak Moscow. From there he was a guest at West Ham last season, who did not pay the agreed amount for him. But that is bound to change in the coming days.
Alex King is only twenty-four years old, but he has already tried a lot in his career. First he left the youth of Slavia to play senior football in Teplice, then he came back and shone in a Susiovan jersey.
In September 2019, however, he wanted to try abroad and moved to Russian side Spartak Moscow. There he still has a contract until the summer of 2024, but he plays elsewhere.
He is currently at Schalke 04 and took advantage of a rule that allowed him to sign elsewhere for a year, due to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
However, he spent last season at West Ham, and it was a classic away season, from which the parent club is entitled to certain funds by agreement.
And the English club decided not to pay it. So Spartak turned to FIFA, which decided that if the Hammers fail to pay the outstanding amount within 45 days, they could be punished by a ban on registering new players.
The exact amount has not been disclosed, but West Ham must also pay interest. He can still appeal, however, within 21 days of receiving the letter.
The amount might not be a staggering amount, but West Ham certainly don’t have any money to spare at the moment. They are also struggling to stay in the top flight.
