West Ham have fallen. Soucek lacklustre, Coufal and King stayed on the bench
Tomáš Souček and his West Ham teammates failed to return to the league. They were outclassed by Wolverhampton Wanderers. The rest of the Czech players remained on the substitutes’ bench.

West Ham played from the third position in Saturday’s match at Wolverhampton. If the Hammers had won, they could have moved up to second in the Premier League table. However, they failed to win the game and lost 0-1.
Deservedly so, it must be said. David Moyes’ side looked scalded on the pitch, playing as if they had the handbrake on. Although they say that the best defence is attack, Soucek & co. relied on a retracted, defensive block. The home side kept the ball and gradually closed to within striking distance of Lukasz Fabiański’s goal.
The only goal of the match came in the 58th minute after action from Podence and a shot from Jimenez. Despite the increased efforts of the visitors, the home side threatened and could have increased their lead several times. West Ham were sporadic in their attempts, with Bowen and Antonio scoring.
How did the representatives of the Czech team do in the match? Tomáš Souček was the only one in the starting line-up and played 90 minutes. After last season, when he scored several important goals, the opponents are guarding him more, so he is not getting so many chances.
Soucek played an average first game after the national break in November, he was not very visible. In a promising position in the whitewash he worked the ball with his hand, otherwise he didn’t get any chances.
Vladimír Coufal and Alex Kral watched the action on the pitch for the whole 90 minutes from the bench. On the right side of the defence, young Ben Johnson got his chance again, while Soucek and Rico played in the centre of the pitch. It is not at all clear when both of these players will see action again.
