West Ham United’s unsuccessful streak has finally come to an end. The Hammers travelled to Vicarage Road (Watford’s home ground) for the 20th round of the Premier League and won convincingly 4-1. Czech national team players Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal played a big part in this.
West Ham United have finally ended their losing streak. The Hammers travelled to Vicarage Road (Watford’s home ground) for the 20th round of the Premier League and won convincingly 4-1. Czech national team players Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal played a big part in this. Czech Mates made some fans happy after the game!
By the way, the third Czech national team member who is at West Ham was also happy. Alex Král came on in the 90th minute, but it was his first ever minutes in the Premier League.
Both Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal played the whole game and their performances were well above average. The national team captain was the second best player on the pitch according to WhoScored and provided the important equaliser.
Right-back Coufal also received an above-standard rating of 6.96 from WhoScored, the highest mark of any West Ham defender. After the game, the Czech Mates were the last to make their way to the large cauldron of their own fans.
Tomas Soucek literally threw his jersey into the crowd, it was Coufal who chose a different route. He directly picked out one of the fans jumped over the barrier and handed the jersey from hand to hand. See for yourself!
Another interesting moment noted by fans on Twitter is a wrestling move by one of the Czech Mates teammates. Guess who it could be! Of course it’s the burly striker Michail Antonio, he got into a cross with one of Watford’s defenders and didn’t tackle him at all.
The Hammers jumped up to 5th place in the Premier League with this win. But it should be noted that Tottenham and Manchester United have played two games less, so they can threaten West Ham’s position relatively easily.
