West Bromwich vs. Birmingham: Preview and betting tips
West Bromwich have an important preliminary game of the twelfth round of the EFL Championship on Friday. At home they will challenge Birmingham, one of the weakest teams in the league according to their form last month.
West Bromwich have an important preliminary game of the twelfth round of the EFL Championship on Friday. At home they will challenge Birmingham, one of the weakest teams in the league according to their form last month.
West Bromwich are happy with the start of the season, after eleven rounds they are second with twenty-two points, only three points behind Bournemouth. They must look behind them, too, as they are two points clear of fifth place.
Birmingham are not complaining either. Last year, it saved itself until the last rounds, this year it is quietly in the middle of the table with twelve points. However, they are only four points clear of the relegation places and should not rest on their laurels.
In the second league, Carlant striker Grant is firing again, he has scored four goals and assisted three times so far. The central midfielder has kicked on on loan at Barnsley and has been a mainstay of the team since the start of this season (3+1).
Irish midfielder Scott Hogan is the visitors’ top scorer, with three goals so far. Jérémie Bela has been instrumental in four of the goals, with the speedy Angolan winger scoring one and assisting on three.
West Bromwich’s defence is working well, getting just five goals in their last nine games.
Birmingham are certainly not playing into their hands, as they haven’t scored a goal in their last four games.
With the away side’s attack struggling, I’d recommend backing West Bromwich to win.
