The Prague team will face a very difficult task in Germany. They cannot afford to lose in Berlin, otherwise they will end up in the European Cups. It is more or less safe to say that the winner will take everything.
“We know it’s a straight fight for promotion. Union is a physically very strong team, running, emphatic. They have good breakaways, they have great players to do it. But we will play them at the Olympic Stadium, which I think can be a bit of an advantage for us,” said assistant coach Zdeněk Houštecký.
Another advantage for Slavia, according to him, may be the fact that only 5,000 spectators are allowed in the stadium. “We are going there to advance, we want to win, even if we only need a draw to advance. We can’t play for a draw, we always play to win, but it will be very difficult.”
Slavia managed to win the first match 3:1, but had a numerical advantage for most of the game. Houštecký is aware that this match will be different, Union will have to go into the game with a total commitment.
Alexander Bah, whose start is still unclear, also excelled in this match. He was not even on the bench this weekend. The absence of Jan Kuchta, who will serve a yellow card penalty, is certain.
According to the bookmakers, Union is quite a big favourite. Can Slavia beat them?
