Well, that was good! Check out the breathtaking choreo the fans created in the Dutch Grand Prix

This year’s Dutch Grand Prix is being described as one of the best of the current Formula 1 season. And rightly so – we saw some beautiful overtakes, duels, collisions and above all unpredictable track conditions. But let’s not forget the fans, who created a great atmosphere at Zandvoort and a truly beautiful choreo before the start.

The drivers started the Dutch Grand Prix on dry tyres, but immediately after all five lights went out it started to rain at Zandvoort, and pit stops followed very soon.

The drivers put on intermediate tyres, and the situation understandably mixed up the standings a lot. This settled down quite a bit as the race went on, although we still saw a few battles and successful overtakes.

In the last few laps, however, the rain returned, but it wasn’t just any shower. What came to Zandvoort after that could easily be described as a European monsoon. The race management had to suspend the race for about 30 minutes using red flags.

So as dramatically as the Dutch Grand Prix started, it also ended. At one point, it even looked like second-placed Fernando Alonso was going to attack Max Verstappen and take his ninth consecutive victory.

Many battles were also fought in other positions. George Russell, for example, dropped to the tail of the field after contact with Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly was attacking the podium and Zhou Guangyu was crashing before the race was suspended.

Great atmosphere, amazing choreo!

But the Dutch Grand Prix will go down as one of the most successful of the season, not only because of the drama on the race track, but also because of the amazing atmosphere created by the fans in the stands during the race.

This is what they were doing before the start of the thirteenth race of the season, for example. After the Dutch national anthem, they brought out the flags and created a truly beautiful choreo.

Verstappen won the Dutch Grand Prix ahead of Alonso, and thanks to a five-second penalty for Sergio Pérez, the Frenchman Gasly completed the podium.

He and his Alpine team finally scored a significant success. Verstappen matched Sebastian Vettel’s record from 2013, recording his ninth consecutive victory. Finally, it should be noted that 305,000 spectators visited Zandvoort during the entire race weekend.
