Well, that didn’t work! Slavia fell at home to Cluj and gave a chance to their rivals for promotion

Unfortunately, Slavia Prague fell at home to Cluj from Romania. The only goal of the match was scored by Janga, who scored the first three points in the table. All teams now have the same number of points.

Slavia was the favourite in the match, after all the Romanian team is not doing too well lately. And the first half developed accordingly, in which Slavia were crushing their opponents.

In the 11th minute, Peter Olayinka came close to scoring, but his header was well blocked by Cluj goalkeeper Scuffet. Fifteen minutes later, Tecl came close, but his cross only ended up on the bar.

After half an hour, Doudere sent a promising shot, but even he did not get the ball behind the goalkeeper’s back. In the 41st minute, Provod hit the bar, then Usor failed.

And as it happens, at the end of the half the visitors were happy. Roger found Janga and he sent the ball to the front post. The first half ended 0:1 for Slavia.

Shortly after returning to the field, Scuffet again saved Olayinka, who shot the ball under the crossbar. In the 53rd minute the visitors almost increased the score, but Yeboah missed the goal from a great chance.

The Slavs continued to try to reverse the unflattering result, but inaccuracy brought them to their knees. Traoré had one such opportunity, but he shot over the bar from a promising opportunity.

There were hints of chances after that, but the Slavs just couldn’t get the ball past goalkeeper Scuffet. They lost 0:1 at home to Cluj, which means that all teams in Group G now have the same number of points.
