We’ll fight until the maths says otherwise! says Xavi determined about Real’s pursuit of the title

Barcelona is determined to shuffle the cards in the title fight. In the last few games, they have the best form in the league and are successfully closing the gap on Real. There is currently a gap of twelve points between the teams.
Who would have thought that after a very bad start to the season, which culminated in the dismissal of Ronald Koeman as coach, Barcelona would still be thinking about fighting for the title. Xavi, however, picked up the team immediately after his arrival and the Catalan club successfully closed the gap on Real in first place.
Barcelona last lost points in the league on February 13 for a derby draw with Espanyol. The bitterness of the defeat was then felt for the last time at the beginning of December last year. It is no wonder that Real’s lead is getting thinner and thinner.
Real currently lead the league by 12 points, just ahead of second-placed Barcelona. However, the Catalan club still has a game to play and is determined to fight for the title. This was confirmed by the team’s coach Xavi.
“We will keep fighting until the maths says otherwise,” Xavi said at the post-match press conference after Barcelona’s narrow win over Sevilla, according to Tribuna.
“We will try to do it. We will try to win all the remaining games,” Xavi added. It may seem like a ridiculous plan, but given Barcelona’s current form, it is certainly not unrealistic.
Even though Real are not in dazzling form, they continue to pick up points. “ It’s hard to see Real getting points, but we will fight until the end,” concluded a determined Xavi.
