The first Premier League games in November will be worth it. Two London derbies in particular are the attraction of the weekend, but an interesting confrontation is also on the agenda in Newcastle.

On Saturday, the Premier League gates will open with an unremarkable but interesting match between Fulham and Manchester United. The Red Devils are struggling, having lost their last two games 0:6 on aggregate, but they can do it against weaker teams. Fulham’s attack is not working.

London will be interesting after the Fulham game. The champion of the city derby Brentford will welcome the Czech national team in the West Ham jersey. They didn’t give Arsenal a sniff at home last week and reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Brentford, however, without Ivan Toney, are surprisingly on a roll, specifically in tenth place just one point behind ninth-placed West Ham. Game-wise, Thomas Frank’s charges are much better off, plus they have beaten the Hammers on all four occasions since promotion.

And to round off a busy Saturday, Newcastle’ s evening match with Arsenal is the showpiece of the round for many. The Magpies have tuned up for the home battle by winning the cup at Old Trafford, while the Gunners, on the other hand, are recovering from a cruel slap in the face.

In any case, Arsenal’s loss at West Ham was an isolated loss, last season the Gunners were even the best away team. Even this season they have lost just two of their six league points away from home.

After an unspectacular Sunday, Monday’s dessert is worth noting. Tottenham’s London derby against Chelsea might be a no-brainer at first glance, but even the Blues are picking themselves up if we ignore the blowout at Brentford.

Plus, they’ve handled the big games so far this season – they’ve drawn with Liverpool and Arsenal and basically been better. But now it will be their first time away, and on the ground of a rampant Tottenham. In short it could be fun and good football.
