We wanted to start with quick goals again to keep things calm. Maybe we didn’t expect to score six goals in a half, Karabec said after Andorra

The Czech national team finished the European Championship qualification in second place with 22 points behind England, who had three more points.
This means only one, Jan Suchopárek’s team is heading to the barrier, the opponent will be announced in the following week. “Personally, I don’t care who we come up against because we have what it takes to beat anyone,” Karabec told a news conference.
He scored twice in the last match in the net of Andorra, which did not score a single point in the whole qualification and lost 0:7 to the Czech Republic.
“We wanted to start with quick goals again to keep things calm. Maybe we didn’t expect to score six goals in a half. That’s why it’s a pity we didn’t add more goals. It’s not easy to play against such teams, for example England only beat them 1-0,” he added.
In the second half, there was no more goal-scoring and the only goal was scored by Kryštof Daněk, with whom Karabec will meet in Sparta in the new season.
“It wasn’t so much that we slackened off, but it was very difficult to get in front of the goal and to finish, because then they stopped playing and just stood on the whitewash and defended. We also didn’t handle a lot of things well in the second half and the second half should have been better from our side,” he finished.
