We played the game and left everything on the field. It hurts a lot, we should have qualified, says Holeš

Advancement was not too far away, in the first half the Czechs managed to get the ball past the Swedish goalkeeper, but unfortunately the goal was disallowed.
So the fans didn’t see a goal in normal time and it went to extra time, in which Sweden was much better and won after a beautiful action.
“It’s a huge disappointment. We played the game, we left everything on the field. We could have broken it to our side at the end of the game, we had two chances but we didn’t convert.
We didn’t control one situation. Ithurts a lot because we had a chance to advance,” Holeš said in an interview with ČT Sport after the game.
Afterwards, he praised his cooperation with his colleagues at stopper. “I think it worked well, we were well prepared tactically and we finished off the Swedes. It’s a pity we couldn’t bridge it to our side,” he added.
A friendly against Wales is on the cards in four days’ time and is likely to be the last for the coaching staff. It is expected that the team for the summer Nations League will already be selected by the new coach.
