Manchester United defeated Newcastle 4-1 on Saturday afternoon and two goals were scored by the most watched man on the pitch – Cristiano Ronaldo. What did the Portuguese have to say after the game?
Cristiano Ronaldo had a dream return to Old Trafford. His Manchester United won against Newcastle 4-1 and the Portuguese himself provided his side’s first two goals.
Even before the game, there was a positive atmosphere in and around the club, and it couldn’t have been any different after the three points. Ronaldo was in a great mood during the interview and was full of optimism.
“We have huge potential, fantastic players, a good coach and a good team. We just need to build the mentality to be able to win the Premier League and the Champions League,” Ronaldo did not hide his big goals.
One of the best footballers in history likes the breadth of the squad Manchester United has. He also likes the team spirit that is in the cabin.
Understandably, he has also praised the fans who have showered him with love. Even before the game, the area around the stadium was already filled with people wearing Ronaldo’s jersey. So when everyone gathered in the stands, it was a special moment.
But now we need to focus on the next game. That’s because in a week Manchester United travel to Switzerland to take on Young Boys Bern in the first game of the Champions League group stage.
