Watford will say goodbye to their fans on Sunday. In the last home game of the season, they welcome Leicester, who can still think about the European Cup. What to expect from the game and what to bet on?
With two rounds to go, Watford are certain to return to the Championship after a year. After a good start, they have stopped picking up points, with only five wins overall. They lost to Leicester 2-4 in the winter.
Leicester can still theoretically hope for an eighth place finish in the Conference Europa League. They are five points behind and have one game in hand. On the other hand, it has won only one of its last six games.
The hosts rely on Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis, who has scored ten goals and assisted six. Senegalese winger and long-time mainstay Ismaila Sarr has scored five times and assisted twice.
For the visitors, it was James Maddison, the English offensive midfielder added five assists to his nine goals. Harvey Barnes is the court assistant, in addition to scoring four goals, he has assisted on eight others.
The home side will have to do without Imran Louza and Juraj Kucka, while the visitors will be without Wilfried Ndidi and Ryan Bertrand.
Watford have been madly struggling in attack, scoring just three goals in the last seven rounds, while they were outshooting their opponents by a hundred and six from the start of the season.
Leicester, on the other hand, are struggling away from the King Power Stadium, having not won in five away league rounds with a record of two draws and three losses.
Given Watford’s appalling home form (one point gained from their last twelve games) and the Maddison factor, I think Leicester will win.
