Juventus are not having a great start to the season. After six games they are in eighth place with just ten points. Salernitana have only three points less, if they had won they would have had the same number of points as Juventus.
Juventus played very actively in the first half, creating more chances, but still the away team led 2: 0 after the first 45 minutes. It was going to be another bad result for them. The goals were scored by Antonio Candreva and Krzysztof Piatek from the penalty spot.
Bremer brought hope for the home side when he scored a header early in the second half. After this goal Juventus started to play more on centres, kicking balls into the whitewash prepared more chances for the home team, but they failed to take them.
It was only in the setup that the home side got their chance. A penalty was ordered against the visiting team, which was taken by Leonardo Bonucci. His shot was caught by the goalkeeper, but unfortunately it was only parried and Bonucci was able to finish. He levelled the match at 2: 2.
Juventus produced a corner kick from the following action, where Arkadiusz Milik popped up for a header which beat the Salernitana goalkeeper. The fans erupted in cheers and Milik was swept away by the crowd, taking off his jersey in celebration. For this he received a yellow card, but it was his second and he had to be sent off.
The goal was then examined by the video referee and eventually disallowed for offside. In the end, Milik’s joy only resulted in a sending off. The goal was disallowed and the score remained tied.
The players couldn’t handle this mentally and a fight broke out, which the referee calmed down with cards. Not counting the expulsion of Milik for taking off his jersey, the referee handed out three more red cards. Juventus coach Allegri was red-carded and Cuadrado and Fazio were shown the red card for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Juventus remain undefeated in Serie A after this match, but they need to work hard if they want to think about a better position this season. On the other hand, Salernitana are playing very well so far and we can see if their form will hold.
