Was his fight with Petrasek bribed? If there are no euros in this, there’s nothing in it, the Pirate is angry
According to the bookmakers, the fight between Miloš Petrášek and Samuel Krištofič was supposed to be one-sided and the favourite Czech was supposed to win. But it was far from it, the Pirate was better and it was a surprise that the fight ended in a draw.
According to the bookmakers, the fight between Miloš Petrášek and Samuel Krištofič was supposed to be one-sided and the favourite Czech was supposed to win. But it was far from it, the Pirate was better and it was a surprise that the fight ended in a draw. Krištofič has now suggested that the fight may have been rigged.
When Ondřej Novotný announced the verdict of the referees, most fans were surprised. Samuel Krištofič dominated his fight with Miloš Petrášek, perhaps surprisingly, and there was nothing to suggest that he shouldn’t have gone for the win.
The most surprised and indignant was certainly the Pirate himself, who didn’t take it easy even after the tournament. He speculates on whether their match was even a regulation one.
“Well, if there are no Euros in this, then there’s nothing! I still don’t understand how three people (scoring judges) can have such different perspectives,” he said on his Instagram.
“The whole arena and the people in front of the TV screens saw it the same way – I should have won. But when they waited so long for the result, I immediately suspected some dirty tricks,” he added.
His eventual victory would certainly have robbed a large number of people of the win ticket, this is how the fight was scored by mistake as the draw could not be bet on.
“I told Ondra right away to be careful. I may be a bit paranoid, but I felt my win internally. Is it just a coincidence that every referee saw a different match, or is there something more behind it?” finished the Pirate.
He can’t wallow in his grief now, he will have another boxing duel with Matej Király on June 3.
