Walk won thanks to my recklessness and now he’s backing off, Brazilian Teixeira brags

Glover Teixeira is already working on a rematch with UFC welterweight champion Jiri Prochazka. Now he’s back for that fight.
The rematch between Prochazka and Teixeira is only a matter of time and place
Jiri Prochazka shocked the martial arts world in June when he won the UFC championship belt after just three fights in the world’s top league. In doing so, he increased his streak of consecutive victories to an impressive thirteen fights.
In fact, in the main event of UFC 275, he turned around a lost fight with Glover Teixeira with just seconds left in the match. The submission specialist got caught in his own trap and tapped out after choking out the Moravian samurai.
Champion Prochazka recently decided that his next challenger will be the legendary Brazilian and we will see a spectacular rematch. It first looked like it would be at December’s UFC 282, but Teixeira would like to see a rematch on his own turf. After all, the UFC is expected to move back to Brazil in January.
The date and venue is the only hitch between the two fighters and UFC management after long negotiations. While the Brazilian is pushing for a January date, Prochazka’s team is obviously targeting a December gala in Las Vegas.
Prochazka only won because of my recklessness, believes Brazilian
Glover Teixeira has now given an interview in which he believes he will beat Prochazka handily in the rematch. He says he won’t make the same mistake he made in their first meeting.
“I had a good fight, except for that one moment, so the preparation for the rematch will be more or less the same, with only minor adjustments, ” Teixeira said when asked about the preparation for the rematch, according to Bjpen.com.
“Next time I just have to focus on not falling into any traps,” he said about their rematch. “He only won because of my recklessness, I was clearly winning until the fifth round, nobody expected anything else,” he returned to the aforementioned moment that cost him his title defence.
In his opinion, Procházka is afraid to go to Brazil
“Of course, he (Procházka) showed great ground work and will probably get better at it, but so will I,” he praised his opponent. “But I will bring my belt back home, I wouldn’t knock it off now,” he believes in his abilities.
“Actually I wanted this fight in Brazil to put on a show, we haven’t been there for three years,” he expressed his wish. “Even though the guy won and is the champion, now he backs off and doesn’t want to fight there,” concluded Teixeira.
