Walk still breaks the testing record! Compared to October, he added ten more tests
Much has been written about the amount of doping testing of Jiří Procházka. The UFC champion had to undergo 51 tests from the beginning of the year until October, and of course this huge number has increased. Currently, according to the latest data, he has passed 61 tests!
Much has been written about the amount of doping testing of Jiří Procházka. The UFC champion had to undergo 51 tests from the beginning of the year until October, and of course this huge number has increased. Currently, according to the latest data, he has passed 61 tests!
Jiri Prochazka has a title fight against Glover Teixeira in the welterweight division. However, his preparation is often interrupted by doping tests. Since the beginning of the year he has been visited 51 times until October.
However, this record number has logically increased since October to the current 61, according to the official database of the anti-doping agency USADA.
Compared to last year, when he was tested 11 times, this is a truly huge and incomprehensible increase. After all, the likes of Conor McGregor has been tested 62 times.
Of course, not in one year, but in his entire involvement in the UFC since 2015! The number of checks of Prochazka is incomprehensible just in case of comparison with other fighters.
The Czech champion easily broke the record and will definitely increase it before the end of the year. He even reportedly passed 20 tests in one month, which must have significantly disrupted his schedule.
David Dvorak, who also fights under the UFC banner, tried to explain what is behind such a number. However, even he cannot understand the constant checks.
“My assumption is that someone reported him on suspicion of using some banned substances. No one has ever been checked so many times in history and I doubt they will be in the future,” he said in an interview with Sport.cz.
Whether they test him or not, Procházka is preparing for another tough game. He will defend his championship belt in a rematch with Teixeira in December and would like to prove that his first win was no fluke.
