Jiří Procházka is recovering from shoulder surgery and slowly looking forward to his next game. However, now a certain Khamzat Chimaev has spoken about him again. The former welterweight king briefly responded.
The Moravian samurai is not very much in the habit of getting into verbal altercations with anyone, but Jiri Prochazka had to respond to Khamzat Chimaev’s words.
Chimaev is one of the UFC’s rising stars and is very happy to show that he has a lot of confidence. On The MMA Hour, he took jabs at three fighters. First of all, he said that Alex Pereira, the middleweight champion, would be the easiest opponent for him in his career.
In the second, the Swedish fighter with Chechen roots called Colby Covington a liar and, like Pereira, sees him as an easy opponent.
And to make matters worse, he also took a dig at Prochazka. In fact, he stated that he doesn’t understand how he could become UFC champion and recalled that he sent him down four years ago while sparring. He said he got it on video, but won’t release it.
This isn’t the first time Chimaev has mentioned sparring together. On the contrary. That’s also why Prochazka decided to respond on his social media.
“Who still has the need to talk over and over again about events that happened four years ago? About information from the gyno? Dude, next time we meet in the cage, I’ll show you my true power. I won’t take it lightly anymore,” the Moravian samurai said on Instagram.
“Don’t talk so much about the others. Be more like yourself,” the former welterweight king added, adding that he expressed his reaction with all due respect not only to Chimaev, but also to the Swedish Allstars gym.
It’s worth noting that Chimaev has hinted that he would like to dominate three weight divisions. In addition to welterweight and middleweight, he also wants a welterweight division. So it is not impossible that in time a fight with Prochazka could actually happen.
