It’s been less than two weeks. Jiri Prochazka has the fight of his life ahead of him. He will fight for the UFC light heavyweight title. His opponent will be Glover Teixeira. The organization has posted the Moravian fighter’s last fight on YouTube as one of the trailers for the fight.
Although Jiri Prochazka only had two fights in the UFC, he gained a lot of attention, became a popular fighter and even managed to win a title fight.
On June 12, he will face veteran Glover Teixeira, who has a great life story behind him, in Singapore. The Brazilian surprisingly won the title last October when he defeated Jan Blachowicz.
In the UFC, meanwhile, the Moravian fighter managed to defeat Volkan Oezdemir, landing the first clean knockout of his career, and Dominick Reyes, whom he literally dispatched.
In both fights Procházka scored exemplary KOs. The fight with Reyes was then released by the UFC on their YouTube channel as a teaser and enticement for Procházka’s next fight.
The Moravian fighter’s fight with Reyes was seen by over 400,000 people in just a few hours. This is, of course, an absolutely excellent record. Procházka proves that he can become a world-class star in terms of popularity.
His title fight with Teixeira is scheduled for June 12, hosted by Singapore.
