Spartan fans are losing hope. Well, those who haven’t lost it for a long time. Sparta is spinning in a circle from which there is no way out. Another huge fiasco in the cups came in Viking, Norway. What is the public reaction?

Nobody imagined this would happen. Spartan fans believed they would leave Norway with a quiet victory and promotion in their pockets. But they were wrong.

Zelený sent Sparta into the lead, but two minutes later the home side equalised after a shot from distance. And in the second minute of the setup, a small tragedy occurred. Dávid Hancko made a huge mistake, passing the ball to his opponent, who delivered it into an empty net.

And Sparta fans are fed up with it. After another big crash, they took their anger to the internet. “Go home on foot! ” wrote an angry fan. “Total boycott, no one in the stadium, no shopping in the fan shop until Křetínský sells it,” wrote another Sparta supporter.

“Shame, like the last few years all the time,” said another fan. “Rosicky out!” a Sparta supporter demanded the sporting director’s departure.

“Hats off to Prisk for knocking out Sparta after Slavia,” a fan tweeted about Slavia’s elimination by Midtjylland.

Sparta fan Alex DeLarge tried to find other negatives than Hanck’s crazy mistake.

An account called Young League has the same opinion. “Sure, Hancko failed, but blaming him for the drop out is stupid. Sparta should have beaten such an opponent twice 3:0 and been done with it.”

Slavia fans are already offering a new coach to their rivals.

“This will go down in the golden fund. I just don’t know if it’s a comedy or a tragedy,” wrote journalist Jan Eichler.

Tragedy not only for Sparta and its reputation, but also for the Czech coefficient. An account focusing on it has calculated the problems of Letná’s relegation.
