Walk has potentially another challenger. Ankalaev claimed the title after his eighth win in a row
Jiří Procházka is not a champion, but if he becomes one, he can already look forward to many challengers. Aleksandar Rakic has long claimed the title, but now Magomed Ankalaev has also claimed it.

On Saturday night, another UFC tournament took place, this time under the name Vegas 50. Thiago Santos and Magomed Ankalaev faced off in the main event of the entire gala, and Santos can definitely already be considered a UFC legend.
Back in February 2019, Santos was able to defeat recent welterweight champion Jan Blachowicz by TKO. He then fought the legendary Jon Jones for the title, however, losing on points.
Santos then fought current champion Glover Teixeira, who beat him on a third round choke, and Aleksandar Rakic, who won on points.
It was Rakic who for a long time was asking not only for a fight with Jiri Prochazka, but also for a title fight. Now it’s obvious that he could get both. Procházka will fight Teixeira for the title, and if he wins, Rakic will probably be the first to get a chance to challenge him.
However, Ankalaev has now also come forward to have his say, as he has now managed to beat Santos on points in a five round battle without any controversy. In doing so, he notched his eighth win in a row, which is the third best feat in UFC welterweight history.
Ankalaev admitted after the fight that he appreciated the win over Santos tremendously. He more or less called it the biggest win of his career, but he certainly doesn’t want it to stay that way. He currently has a perfect 16-1 record, with his only loss coming in his UFC debut.
In his previous fight, Ankalaev defeated Volkan Oezdemir, who was the man Prochazka faced in his UFC debut.
The Dagestani fighter is gradually working towards his goal of a UFC title. Will he get it?
