Wales vs. Belarus: Preview and betting tips
The Czech national team will be watching the Wales-Belarus match closely on Saturday. Our team needs the Welsh to win by as few goals as possible, ideally not to win at all. What to expect from the match?
The Czech national team will be watching the Wales-Belarus match closely on Saturday. Our team needs the Welsh to win by as few goals as possible, ideally not to win at all. What to expect from the match?
Wales have the group situation in their hands. They only need to take four points from their last two games to secure second place. They will be forced to win against Belarus, as Belgium await them at the end.
Belarusian football, on the other hand, has gone downhill with the level in recent years, which is also evident in this edition. In the table, the one-time qualification aspirant is in last place with three points.
Wales are dragged along by Kieffer Moore alongside Gareth Bale, the lanky striker has scored five goals in the recent past. Opponents also dislike Daniel James, the author of three goals and two assists in the last ten games, for his quick feet.
In the visitors’ squad, perhaps only Vitali Lisakovich can be praised, who has scored five goals since the start of 2020. Apart from him, the local national team is made up of rather second-rate players, with the main stars refusing to represent the country because of their disagreement with the country’s politics.
Wales rely on the good form of their defensive line, which has not scored in three of their last five games.
Moreover, the Belarusians have struggled in attack, scoring in only one of their last four games.
Given the form of both teams, I expect a big win for the home team. They, encouraged by the motivation to finish second, should win by at least two goals.
