In Thursday’s friendly against Kuwait, Michael Krmencik started in the starting lineup. Matěj Vydra came on in the 61st minute in place of Jakub Pesek on the wing, with another Slavic player Jan Kuchta replacing the Sešivan fighter.
And one of this trio will start against Estonia in the starting line-up. Assistant Jiří Chytrý, who is leading the national team at this meeting due to the absence of Jaroslav Šilhavy, said that against Kuwait the coaches decided not to experiment, but to try some things towards Estonia.
In terms of points, all forwards are on the same level. None of them scored against Kuwait, Krmencik assisted on Pešek’s goal, Vydra and Kuchta set up goals for Sýkor.
The question is which type of striker the coaches will want to use. Kuchta is excellent in pressing, he also bounces a lot in the midfield where he helps with the construction of the game. Krmencik is a typical player in the penalty area, he is also great with playing with his back to goal. Vydra is the fastest of all the strikers, so he is best suited to the break style.
It is not expected against Estonia, the Czechs will conquer their opponent. And given that Jaroslav Šilhavy’s charges must score as many goals as possible, the choice of striker will be very important. If Wales lose to Belgium and the Czechs beat the Estonians, the second place in the group will be decided by the score.
It is very likely that all three strikers will be on the pitch during the 90 minutes. But which one will it be from the start?
