Arsenal failed to win their Sunday Premier League match, drawing 0:0 at home to last-place Burnley. Czech international Matěj Vydra played the whole match in the away jersey.

Dwight McNeill had the first chance of the match in the eighth minute, but his shot had to be cleared by Aaron Ramsdale. Then the home team woke up.

Alexandre Lacazette dribbled into the box but missed the target. In the 19th minute, the visiting defence worked its magic.

Nick Pope was the first to score, but Lacazette’s shot was stopped by stopper Ben Mee. After that, the pace slowed down, with Burnley players making the game difficult for the home side with pressing and sharp tackles, which the Gunners couldn’t cope with.

Bukayo Saka was able to break through from a quick break, but his attempt missed the back post.

In the second act, they waited for a chance until the 60th minute when Martin Odegaard narrowly missed from a direct kick. Four minutes later, the Gunners almost got the signal, Emile Smith-Rowe’s shot had to be cleared by Pope.

Arsenal’s pressure intensified, with Lacazette missing an empty net from an angle in the 67th minute. The next chance came in the 88th minute, but stopper Gabriel only headed into the middle of the net.

Burnley fought back and the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
