Vlahovic, Coutinho and others: Which top players can change their destination in January?

The winter transfer period is approaching. All European clubs can buy new players from 1 January. Some players will be out of contract after the season, so clubs will try to cash in on them. There will be some interesting names up for grabs, which are among the most attractive?
Dusan Vlahovic
The Serbian is one of the 3 best spike strikers of today (only Lewandowski and Haaland are better). He confirms it with great numbers. Last season he scored 21 goals and became the 5th best cannonballer in the league. In the current season he already has 16 goals and it’s only halfway through the season. He shouldn’t miss out on the Serie A top scorer award this time around.
And he’s only 21 years old, his market value will still rise steeply (it’s currently around €70 million). His current contract at Fiorentina expires in the summer of 2022, with the player himself refusing to extend it.
The reason? He wants to take the next step. So it can be expected that the Italian club will want to sell him in January. Arsenal are intensely interested in him, and he would ideally fit in at Manchester City as well. The Citizens are looking for a productive cannonballer, their attempt to sign Harry Kane failed in the summer, signing Vlahovic could be a suitable option.
The Serbian striker will be one of the hottest commodities in the transfer market. This player could be a jackpot for his future club.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
It looks like his five-year engagement in an Arsenal jersey is coming to an end. He was a clear number one in previous years, one of the best strikers in the Premier League, and indispensable for Arsenal. But that is no longer the case. After signing a new contract with the Gunners, it’s no longer the right fit on his part.
He seems to have lost all motivation and it is having a negative impact on his performance. He has scored only 4 goals this season, dropped out of the starting lineup and what’s more, he has been stripped of his captaincy due to disciplinary infractions.
Coach Arteta himself has said that the club is considering selling him. Aubameyang’s departure from Arsenal is thus highly probable.
Philippe Coutinho
This Brazilian’s engagement at Barcelona? A total flop. The Spanish big club bought him a few years ago with high hopes (Barcelona bought him for £120 million – ed.). He was supposed to be André Iniesta’s successor and was expected to shine alongside Messi and Suárez.
However, Coutinho suffered a huge performance slump and was unable to build on his brilliant Liverpool performances. At Barcelona, he often came off the bench and failed to make a significant impact. Reportedly Newcastle are very interested in him and a return to the Premier League is definitely possible.
Ferrán Torres
Another intriguing player who may change his destination. His current club is Manchester City. He has been hit by injuries this season, which is why he often comes off the bench and pays for the high rotation of players that coach Guardiola professes.
His departure is by no means 100%, but it is a definite possibility. Spanish Barcelona are very keen on his services. According to Fabrizio Romano, they have already agreed on the terms of a contract with the player. However, an agreement with the Citizens has yet to be reached (Manchester City are demanding £60 million).
Edinson Cavani
the 34-year-old marksman still has his quality, which he proved last season when he was one of the driving forces behind Manchester United’s offensive activity. He scored ten goals in 27 games. However, the Red Devils acquired Ronaldo and Sancho in the summer, after which Cavani’s minutes dropped dramatically.
In the competition of Sancho, Ronaldo, Greenwood, Martial or Rashford, he is simply losing his place. His January departure is thus highly probable. Barcelona or Brazilian Corinthians are among the main suitors, but no official negotiations have yet taken place.
