Vinicius could have scored the goal of the year, but a defender stopped him at the last moment. Check out his great solo
Real Madrid welcomed Rayo Vallecano, a modest side from the outskirts of Madrid, to their home ground on Saturday night. The favourite was obvious, yet the match was unexpectedly even. Another great performance was put in by Vinicius, who may have scored one of the most beautiful goals of the year.

The White Ballet managed to get three more important points in the table by beating Rayo Vallecano. They can boast the current first place, two points behind Real Sociedad, and if they win against Betis on Sunday, Sevilla can catch them on points.
But let’s get back to the match. Vallecano were a surprisingly tough nut to crack for Real Madrid. In the 38th minute, the Spanish giant led 2:0, but Rayo turned the tide in the second act. It didn’t work, but it was a great performance.
Real Madrid were saved from losing points by Thibaut Courtois along with well-placed crosses.
However, a great performance was once again put in by Vinicius, who is having the season of his life as he is able to convert his chances in addition to his passes. His technique has been known for a long time, but only this season he seems to have broken his shooting jinx. He has already scored 8 goals in all competitions, which is his personal best for the season.
And it could have been 9, but one of the opposing players was up against it. The talented Brazilian captivated the football fans with a wonderful solo across half the field, and in the attacking third he managed to beautifully clear the defenders out of the game.
When he was finishing after a successful action, Oscar Valentin stood in the way of the ball and averted a huge danger. Vinicius, however, pleased many a technical football fan with his action.
The Brazilian’s potential is enormous. Can he break through to the Ballon d’Or in the future?
