Villarreal vs. Manchester United: Preview and betting tips

Manchester United are going through a very tough time right now and of course the competition is not waiting for anyone, so they have to pick themselves up and move on. However, in the past the opening games have often gone well after the Red Devils coach was sacked, will that be the case this time against Villarreal?

Even the Spanish side may have been without a coach recently when Unaie Emery was poached by Newcastle. However, the coach with experience even in the Premier League did not accept the offer and decided to continue at Villarreal, which was incredibly positive news for all their fans.

After all, it was the 50-year-old coach who led Villarreal to victory in the Europa League this year, beating Manchester United in the final.

The first mutual duel in the current season ended with the victory of the English team, which enjoyed three points thanks to a goal by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 95th minute. Otherwise, it was an even match and it should be the same on Tuesday night.

The question now, however, is how the team will fare, or rather how Michael Carrick, who has taken over the reins of Manchester United for a time, will lead them.

Villarreal didn’t exactly do well twice in October, alternating good results with bad ones. However, in early November, they took on Young Boys Bern, Getafe and drew with Celta Vigo at the weekend. Thus, the only goal conceded from those three fixtures is something Emery’s charges would like to bounce back from.

It’s containing the Red Devils’ attacking aces that will be the toughest task that I don’t think they will be able to accomplish, and I rather expect both teams to be able to assert themselves.
