Dexterity is key for a footballer. However, it is emphasised from a very young age and gymnastic training is commonplace at big clubs. And that’s from the smallest categories.
Still, there are players whose agility surpasses others. Think of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has amazed fans all over Europe with his acrobatic stunts, whether he played for Ajax, Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Manchester United or PSG.
The Brazilian gymnast is now on sick leave
In the video below, you can see another incredibly agile player for a change, for whom falling to the ground is not a hindrance to his game. In fact, he immediately gets up and entertains the fans in the process. Brazilian Eder Militao is truly incredible.
The Real Madrid stopper is currently out with a sore knee, so the fans of the LaLiga leaders are deprived of his stunts, but his return to the pitch is slowly approaching.
The former Sao Paulo and Porto player tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the middle of last August. It happened in the first round of the Spanish league against Bilbao. In addition, a few days later, Thibaut Courtois, the White Ballet goalkeeper, suffered the same injury.
Had he not been injured, Militao could have shown his tricks on Wednesday, when the Champions League eight-final rematch between Real and German Leipzig is played.
The royal club did better in the first leg, winning 1-0. We can only look forward to what the 26-year-old Brazilian will show us when he recovers.
