The Polish organization KSW, which ranks among the biggest not only in Europe but also in the world, headed to the Czech Republic for the first time on Saturday night. The tournament was held in Liberec and there was one phenomenal finish to be seen.
KSW is a traditional and established brand that has been around for years. It has hosted several tournaments abroad, but it only visited the Czech Republic for the first time on Saturday. The KSW 79 tournament was hosted by Liberec.
There were interesting matches to be seen in the north of the Czech Republic, at least on paper. Czech fighters were also present. However, the best ending of the tournament was given by the French fighter Ramzan Jembiev.
Jembiev made his KSW debut at the tournament. The 23-year-old fighter went into the match with a 3-1 record, with three wins in a row. His opponent was 31-year-old Brazilian Murilo Delfino.
Delfino went into the fight undefeated with a 3-0 record, but he suffered his first loss in Liberec. And he did it hard in the second round of the match when Jembiev hit him with a great head kick.
KSW must rejoice. Jembiev has shown that he is a very interesting prospect. He won for the third time by KO/TKO and his fight was very attractive. Plus, the footage of the beautiful headkick is definitely going around the martial arts world.
It is not impossible that the Frenchman will be in the running for the best knockout award at the end of the year.
Delfino stayed down for a long time after the finish. However, according to information from the organization, he did not suffer any serious health problems. He was, however, taken to a hospital in Liberec where he will be examined.
